I had a huge problem importing my old blog entries into WordPress -- I beat my head against it for weeks until the guys at my ISP took pity on me and helped out. The trick was to split the file into smaller files -- the file wasn't that big, only 1MB or so, so I though that wasn't the problem, but my tech guy said that because WP needs to "do a lot of things" to the import file, breaking it up was the key. He's trying desperately to master rolling over and sitting up, so he's really fun to watch at the moment :) I tried to move to WP this morning, but my hosting provider is behind on PHP revisions so it didn't work. The next cheapest provider is 4x more expensive so I ended up deleting everything and installing the newest rev of MT. On the plus side, I can now post again, and people can comment, too, but...
