Yes, but what will the statue look like?

The number of food blogs that are on the web has grown by leaps and bounds since I started this blog almost 3 years ago. Why even in just the four months since I've been on my break from blogging there has been a proliferation of new food blogs that I need to check out and read. I don't know if I can keep up! I think its wonderful, and I can't help but feel that one of the nicest blogging communities out there on the web today is the community of Food-bloggers and their readers, great folks every single one. Now, via Alberto at Il Forno and Renee of Shiokadelicious I see that Kate from Accidental Hedonist has started the 2004 Food Blog Awards. A wonderful way to honor your favorite food blogger, so, if you like, visit Kate's site and leave your picks for nominees. Thank you Kate, Alberto and Renee.

Equally exciting news today is that our man Josh of the fabulous blog The Food Section has been featured in the round up of favorite food blogs in the January 2005 issue of Bon Appetit magazine. Congratulations Josh, that's wonderful news. Also chosen were: The Grocery List Collection, Saute Wednesday, Slice, and Vinography. Congratulations to all of you.
